About the Event
Books can provide such comfort and joy, and for book lovers, few things beat walking into a real bookshop and browsing the shelves. Agree? Join us for this event with writer and journalist Cathy Rentzenbrink and Fairlight Books founder Louise Boland.
Cathy's new book Dear Reader is a funny and moving account of how books have kept her afloat in life, lighting her way to a path as a bookseller and then as a writer. and showing her that no matter what the future holds, reading will always help.
Louise's Bookshop Tours of Britain is a slow-travel guide to Britain, navigating bookshop to bookshop, journeying from the Jurassic Coast of southwest England, over the mountains of Wales, through England's industrial heartland, up to the Scottish Highlands and back via Whitby, the Norfolk Broads, central London, the South Downs and Hardy's Wessex.
The conversation will be chaired by Sarah Franklin, author and Senior Lecturer in Publishing at Oxford Brookes University.
Tickets are priced at £25, to include a copy of Dear Reader and Bookshop Tours of Britain. If you would like to buy a ticket only for £6 with the option to buy individual copies of the books please click here.
Shipping is included to the UK only.
You will be sent an email with details of how to join this online event shortly before it starts. Please note you must download Zoom to gain access to the event and use the same email address to log in that you used to book your tickets.
