Join us for this exclusive event with New York Times best-selling author Jason Reynolds and illustrator Danica Novgorodoff when they will be talking to novelist Alex Wheatle about their graphic novel adaptation of Jasons award-winning book Long Way Down and youll also get the chance to ask questions at this online event.

Jason Reynolds is a critically acclaimed and multi-award winning writer and poet. He currently holds the position of National Ambassador for Young People's Literature in the US, and is the author of several books including Boy in the Black Suit and the Run series. Born in Washington, DC and raised in neighbouring Oxon Hill, Maryland, Reynolds found inspiration in rap to begin writing poetry at nine years old. He focusedon poetry for the next two decades, only reading a novel cover to cover for the first time at age 17. Long Way Down was Jason's first novel to be published in the UK.

Danica Novgorodoff is an artist, writer and graphic designer based in Brooklyn, New York. Her books include A Late Freeze, Slow Storm, Refresh Refresh and The Undertaking of Lily Chen. Her art and writing havebeen published in Artforum, Esquire, Slate and many others.

Alex Wheatle is the author of several acclaimed novels, many of them inspired by experiences from his childhood. He was born in Brixton to Jamaican parents, and spent most of his childhood in a Surrey children's home. Alex has been longlisted for the Carnegie Medal, won the Guardian Children's Fiction Award, and was awarded an MBE for his services to literature in 2008.
